Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the mobile game Getaway Raccoon (the "Game"), published by Stéphane Villacèque. By downloading or using the Game, you accept them. The terms of the app stores (App Store, Google Play) also apply.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Game for private, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control.

2. Prohibited conduct

• Cheating, modifying the Game or its save data, exploiting bugs or using third-party tools to gain an advantage (including on leaderboards);
• Decompiling, disassembling or extracting the Game's code or assets, except where permitted by law;
• Using an offensive nickname or one that infringes others' rights on the Game Center or Google Play Games services linked to the Game.

In case of breach, we may remove a score from the leaderboards or reset progress obtained fraudulently.

3. Virtual currency and content

Coins, cars, upgrades and power-ups in the Game are virtual content. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money or transferred to another player, and only grant you a right to use them within the Game. Their prices and effects may be adjusted for game balance.

4. In-app purchases

The Game is free and offers optional in-app purchases (ad removal, coin packs). Purchases are made with and billed by Apple or Google, under their terms and refund procedures. Because digital content is delivered immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends once it has been delivered, as permitted by EU consumer law. The "Remove ads" purchase can be restored for free from the Game's Settings on a device signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account.

5. Advertising

The Game is funded by ads shown between levels and by optional ads you choose to watch in exchange for a reward (for example, getting back on the road after being wrecked). Ad-related data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Availability and updates

We do our best to keep the Game running smoothly, but it is provided "as is". We may update it, change or remove features, or stop operating it. Online features (cloud save, leaderboards) depend on third-party services and may be temporarily unavailable.

7. Intellectual property

The Game, its name, mascot, artwork, music, sounds and code are protected by copyright and trademark law. They belong to the publisher or its licensors (including licensed art assets). Unauthorised reproduction is prohibited. You may share screenshots and videos of the Game for non-commercial purposes.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damages, or for loss of progress caused by uninstalling, switching devices without first signing in to Game Center or Google Play Games, or a third-party service failure. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes

These terms may change. The version in force is the one published on this page; you will be notified in the Game of any significant change.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, please contact us first at getawayraccoon@mirgas.fr so we can find an amicable solution. You may also refer the matter free of charge to the following consumer mediator: [TO FILL IN : consumer mediator]. Otherwise, the courts designated by law will have jurisdiction; if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
